U&I Partners for a Caring Community

You decide which charity receives your donation
The Campus Charitable Fund Drive offers many ways to contribute with many individual agencies to choose from. Many of them are here in Champaign County, serving your family and friends; many others provide services across the country and extend to all parts of the world. Consider a donation to one or several of the following organizations that are participating in this year’s fund drive. More information on these organizations is in the brochure distributed by departmental volunteers or you can look online.

  • American Cancer Society works to find a cure for cancer and also focuses on prevention, detection and patient support. www.cancer.org
  • America’s Charities, a national coalition of community-based organizations, provides services and programs addressing health, human services, education, human and civil rights and the environment. www.charities.org
  • Black United Fund of Illinois provides financial and technical support to projects and programs for those in need within Illinois’ African-American community. www.bufi.org
    Community Health Charities of Illinois represents a number of organizations that support medical research, patient services and public and professional education to improve the lives of those with chronic disease. www.healthcharitiesillinois.org
  • Earth Share of Illinois is a group of national organizations protecting the world’s environ-ment, health and natural resources. www.earthshare-illinois.org
  • Illinois Women’s Funding Federation improves the lives of Illinois women by providing shelter, legal help, counseling, and job training and career programs. www.iwff.org
    Independent Charities of America, a national federation of charities, feeds the hungry, shelters the homeless, protects children and heals the sick. www.independentcharities.org
  • International Service Agencies, a federation of America’s leading humanitarian agencies, provides health care, education and job opportunities, and improves the environment worldwide. www.charity.orghttp://www.independentcharities.org
  • Little City Foundation helps children and adults with developmental disabilities become self-sufficient and independent. This includes people with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and other developmental disabilities. www.littlecity.org
  • Public Interest Fund of Illinois, a coalition of local and statewide non-profit organizations, works for better housing and health care, protecting the environment and seeking equal opportunity for women, minorities, and the disabled. www.pifi.org
  • Special Olympics Illinois provides sports training and competitive athletics programs for people with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. www.soill.org
  • United Negro College Fund raises critical dollars for member colleges and universities and historically black colleges and universities to provide students with scholarships, internships, study abroad experiences, mentors and research opportunities. www.uncf.org
  • United Way of Champaign County represents local human service agencies that provide resources to meet human care needs in our county. This includes child care, crisis intervention, homeless services, youth development, and health and wellness programs right here in our own community. www.uwayhelps.org
