The deadline for faculty and staff members of the Urbana campus to pick up two free tickets to Saturday’s football game against Western Michigan is 6 p.m. Sept. 16.

The tickets are available at the Athletic Ticket Box Office at the Assembly Hall. You must show your staff ID and get your tickets in person.

These tickets may not be resold. Faculty and staff members who are season-ticket holders also are invited to participate.

The tickets are in gratitude for the hard work of employees across campus, Interim Chancellor Richard Herman said in announcing the complimentary ticket offer.

“In recent years, faculty and staff in the Urbana campus community have faced many challenges together,” Herman said. “We have weathered budget cuts and staff reductions, and over the past year, many employees all across the campus have worked late nights and early mornings – far beyond anything that we have the right to ask of them – because they wanted to make sure their colleagues were appointed and paid on time, students were registered appropriately, and other academic and business functions were accurate as we made the move to a new computer software system.

“Whether or not you are able to join us, please accept my gratitude for your continued commitment to this institution.”
