Krannert Center announces 2005-06 performance season
Presentation of a wide range of performance traditions – at a mix of times, price ranges and locations – defines the philosophy of Krannert Center for the Performing Arts: accessible performance experiences for the wide-ranging interests of this community. The 2005-2006 performance season is all about that mix. From the Sept. 10 opening party celebration with music, food and conviviality to the Sept. 17 world premiere of a multidisciplinary theatrical work (“The End of Cinematics,” written, arranged and produced by Mikel Rouse); from a four-day “Wall to Wall” Guitar Festival (Sept. 29-Oct. 2) featuring some 25 guitarists to the solo artistry of celllist Yo-Yo Ma (April 7); and from the enthusiasm of the young musicians of Quartet New Generation (Nov. 6) or the artists of Cirque Éloize (March 4-5) to the traditions of the Russian National Ballet (Jan. 18-20) and The Black Watch pipe and drum band (Feb. 8), Krannert Center invites community participation as it celebrates the multiplicity of human expression and creates a future of the past.

The scheduled performances and artists are too numerous to list but are detailed in the new season brochures and on the center’s Web site, KrannertCenter.com.

The new season brochures are now available and the ticket office will accept single event and series ticket orders once the brochures are received. Orders may be placed by phone, mail, online or through the ticket office.
