W. Leighton “Late”
Collins, 99, died Aug. 10. Collins was an
emeritus professor of theoretical and applied mechanics at the
UI. He worked at the UI for 35 years, retiring in 1965. Memorials:

Morris Scheinman, 92,
died Aug. 22 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Scheinman,
an emeritus professor of general engineering, joined the UI faculty
in 1962. He retired in 1983 but continued on a part-time basis
until 1990. Memorials: Jewish Federation, 503 E. John St., Champaign,
IL 61820.
