Getting acquainted
Provost Linda Katehi talks with a fellow resident of Allen Hall, Randy Champagne, an electrical and computer engineering major who also works as a desk clerk. Katehi moved into the university residence hall when she started her new job at the UI on April 1 and expects to stay there until the end of May, when her family will join her and they will move into their own residence. “The experience at Allen Hall/Unit One has given me tremendous insight into the campus, from the perspective of our undergraduates. Unit One is a model of the vibrancy, energy and diversity that makes this campus such an excellent environment for students and faculty and staff members. I appreciate the opportunity to take part in my own unique living and learning experience at Unit One,” Katehi said.
